FAQs
General FAQs
What services does your HR consultancy provide?
We offer end-to-end HR support including recruitment, employee onboarding, policy development, performance management, training, compliance, and HR strategy consulting. All customised to your business needs. In other words we can be there for for all your people needs, large or small.
How are you different from larger HR consulting firms?
Unlike the large firms, we offer personalised attention, flexible engagement options, and direct access to senior consultants. Our size allows us to tailor our approach without the overhead costs or red tape of bigger firms. Also unlike the big players we will never try and upsell you something you don’t need.
The larger HR companies just provide me with a list of obstacles I have to jump over in order to stay compliant. How are you any different?
The larger companies tie their services into a tribunal protection insurance product. We don’t and will never make our customers jump through hoops to just to meet compliance standards for an insurance assessor. We are more commercially aware and whilst and we will always remain compliant, it is only one of the factors that contribute to good business decisions.
What industries do you specialise in?
We work with small to mid-sized businesses across various sectors, including care homes, charities, service, leisure and lots of others.
Do you work with start-ups or only established companies?
We support businesses at every stage, From start-ups building their first HR framework to established companies looking to refine and scale their people strategies.
Pricing & Engagement
How do you structure your pricing?
Transparency is pricing is important. We offer flexible pricing, from hourly consulting and project-based fees to monthly retainers. We’ll work with you to design a model that fits your budget and goals.
Are your rates lower than larger firms?
Well that depends on what you want and what you value. Some of the larger firms will tempt you with low monthly retainers or even six months
free. But you will be tied into a long contract and when you find that the service isn’t what you need you are stuck. Some of our clients have contracted with these companies and then found that their service is confusing and inaccessible. There are also constant upselling of consultancy services. With us there are no hidden costs.
Can we start with a small project before committing long-term?
Absolutely. Many clients begin with a specific project (e.g., policy reviewor talent acquisition) and expand once they experience our results and responsiveness.
Expertise & Credibility
What are your consultants’ qualifications?
Our team includes CIPD certified HR professionals. All our consultancy work is either directly carried out or supervised by a Level 7 HR Consultant. Between us we have years of hands-on experience in recruitment, compliance, and HR strategy across diverse industries.
How do you stay updated on employment laws and HR trends?
We continuously monitor legislative updates, attend HR industry events, and maintain memberships in leading HR professional associations to ensure compliance and best practices.
Process & Delivery
How do you typically start working with a new client?
We begin with a discovery session to understand your organisation, challenges, and goals. Then we create a tailored action plan, whether that’s a one-off project or an ongoing HR partnership. Initially all work is explained in writing so costs can be agreed and managed in advance.
Do you work remotely or on-site?
We offer both. Most of our work is delivered exceptionally well on a remote basis which saves you costs on travel and expenses. We will travel to clients when necessary within a manageable distance from our North Wales base.
Relationships & Support
Will we have a dedicated consultant?
Yes. You’ll have a primary consultant who understands your business deeply, backed by our wider team for specialised expertise when needed.
What happens if our needs change over time?
Our flexible model allows you to scale up or down as your organisation evolves, adding or reducing services without long-term lock-ins.
What happens if it doesn’t work out and we need a different type of support?
That’s simple. If we aren’t giving you what you need or you would prefer a different type of support then we have only a one-month notice period. We will never tie you into a service that doesn’t fit your business model.
